ESA's Recap on December 2025: The Beginning of a New Chapter

December 2025 marked the beginning of a new chapter for ESA FKIP Universitas Riau following the inauguration of the Lunara Vistara Cabinet on November 29th. As the first month of this term, December became a period of adjustment, coordination, and initial steps in building a solid and collaborative organization. Let’s take a look at how ESA started this journey and laid the foundation for the months ahead.
1. UPGRADING DIVISION OF ESA FKIP UNIVERSITAS RIAU
On November 29th–30th and
December 2nd–3rd, 2025, ESA FKIP Universitas Riau held a Upgrading Division activity involving all nine divisions, namely the Social and Political
Division, Membership Development Division, Islamic and Spiritual Division,
Funding and Business Division, Intellectual Development Division, Communication
and Informatics Division, Secretary Division, Interest and Talent Division, and
Women Resource Division.
The upgrading sessions were carried out on different dates according to each division’s schedule and were conducted in collaboration with DPK ESA FKIP Universitas Riau. This activity aimed to strengthen members’ understanding of their roles, enhance teamwork, and support the effective implementation of upcoming work programs.
1. 2. ESA FUNDRAISING WITH BEM FKIP
On December 1st, 2025, ESA FKIP Universitas Riau, in collaboration with BEM FKIP Universitas Riau, conducted a fundraising activity to support flood victims in several regions of Sumatra, including Sibolga, Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
This
activity aimed to raise funds and increase students’ social awareness toward
humanitarian issues. Through this initiative, ESA showed its commitment to
social responsibility and solidarity with communities affected by natural
disasters.
1. 3. SEKRE BERSIH 1
On December 2nd, 2025, ESA
FKIP Universitas Riau conducted Sekre Bersih I at the ESA Secretariat with the
participation of members from all divisions. This activity focused on cleaning
and organizing the secretariat area to create a neat, comfortable, and
conducive workspace for organizational activities.
Through cross-divisional collaboration, members worked together to maintain cleanliness and order in the secretariat. This initiative fostered a sense of shared responsibility while supporting a positive, professional, and well-maintained organizational environment.
1. 4. MENGELOLA DAN MENDATA INVENTARIS 1
On December 2nd, 2025, ESA FKIP Universitas Riau also carried out Mengelola dan Mendata Inventaris I at the ESA Secretariat, involving members from all divisions. The activity aimed to organize, record, and update organizational assets to ensure that all inventory items were properly documented and in good condition.\
By managing and documenting inventory systematically, ESA seeks to improve efficiency, coordination, and accountability in organizational operations, as well as to support smoother implementation of future programs.
5. NATIONAL ENGLISH OLYMPIAD (NEO) COMMITTEE MEETING I
On December 3rd, 2025, ESA FKIP Universitas Riau held the first National English Olympiad (NEO) Committee Meeting on Wednesday at 8.00 AM in room D6. The meeting served as an initial coordination session to discuss committee roles, outline technical preparations, and align plans for the upcoming National English Olympiad. Through this meeting, the committee strengthened teamwork and commitment to organizing NEO as a platform that supports students in developing their English skills and confidence at the national level.
6. RAPAT KERJA KEPENGURUSAN
On December 4th, 2025, ESA FKIP Universitas Riau held a Rapat Kerja Kepengurusan on Thursday at 8.30 AM in room D4. This meeting focused on discussing and determining the schedules and implementation plans for each organizational work program. Through this session, the management coordinated upcoming activities, aligned responsibilities among divisions, and ensured that all planned programs could be carried out effectively and systematically.
7. ESA's WALL MAGAZINE
On December 4th, 2025, ESA FKIP Universitas Riau published a new edition of ESA’s Wall Magazine titled “The New Issue Meet the Team,” managed by the Communication and Informatics Division. This edition introduces each division and explains its functions within the organization. Through this wall magazine, the Communication and Informatics Division aims to share information, enhance transparency, and strengthen connections among ESA members and the academic community.
8. TUGAS LITERASI I
On December 17th, 2025, ESA FKIP Universitas Riau conducted Tugas Literasi 1, organized by the Membership Development Division and participated in by all divisions, including the Membership Development Division itself. The activity was held on Wednesday from 7.45 PM to 8.00 PM through an online meeting via Zoom. The theme of this literacy program was “Improving Literacy Through Listening to and Analyzing Lyrics.”
During this activity, participants were assigned to listen to the song “You’re On Your Own, Kid” by Taylor Swift and identify the moral message conveyed in the lyrics, followed by creating a summary based on their analysis. Through this program, ESA aimed to improve members’ listening skills, critical thinking, and literacy awareness through an interactive and reflective learning process.
