ESA's Recap on March: Building Connections, Inspiring Positive Actions

March 2026 was a
vibrant and meaningful month for ESA FKIP Universitas Riau under the Lunara
Vistara Cabinet. Throughout the month, ESA carried out a variety of programs
that encouraged collaboration, strengthened organizational bonds, and enriched
members’ knowledge and experiences. From social activities during Ramadan and
skill-building sessions to discussions and internal coordination, each program
reflected ESA’s dedication to fostering unity, personal growth, and active
engagement within the organization.
Let’s take a look at how ESA continued to grow and create meaningful impacts throughout March!
1. Opening of English Study Club (ESC) 2026
On Sunday, March 1st, 2026, ESA
FKIP Universitas Riau conducted Day 2 of the Opening
English Study Club (ESC) 2026, continuing the enthusiasm
from the first day under the theme “Think Critically,
Speak Confidently, Write Effectively.”
The session featured Muhammad
Aisar Akmal Caesar, who delivered material on debate,
encouraging participants to develop logical arguments and critical thinking in
structured discussions, and Surya Darma, who
presented essay writing strategies, guiding participants in organizing ideas
and constructing well-structured academic essays. Through interactive
discussions and practical exercises, the activity created a dynamic learning
atmosphere and helped participants strengthen their academic skills.
2. Kelas Pelatihan MTQ 2026
On Sunday, March 1st, 2026, at
01.30 P.M. until finished, the Islamic and Spiritual Division of ESA FKIP
Universitas Riau held Kelas Pelatihan MTQ 2026 at the Mushola FKIP Universitas
Riau under the theme “Qur’an-Loving Students: Intellectually Excellent,
Spiritually Grounded.” The session was guided by Sukmawati Ira Saputri,
S.Pd. and Daffa Putra Darmawan, S.Pd., who shared insights and guidance related
to MTQ training. Through this activity, participants were encouraged to deepen
their love for the Qur’an, strengthen their spiritual foundation, and develop
intellectual excellence.
The program continued on Saturday,
March 28th, 2026, and was conducted online via Google Meet. This session
featured Griselda Nabila Zahran as the speaker, who delivered material on the types
of posters as part of enhancing participants’ understanding of creative media
for da’wah and information delivery. Participants were introduced to various
types of posters along with their functions and characteristics, as well as how
posters can be utilized as effective media to convey educational and Islamic
messages in an interactive and engaging learning atmosphere.
3. ESA’s Wall Magazine
On Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at 10.00 A.M., the Communication and Informatics Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau created ESA’s Wall Magazine March Edition in front of the ESA Secretariat under the theme “Days of Devotion.” This edition presented creative visual elements and informative content to attract readers while sharing meaningful updates for ESA members.
The wall magazine featured organizational information such as the Organizational Structure, Achievements, Work Program Calendar, documentation of previous activities, educational news, and academic information. In addition, this edition also included special Ramadan-themed content, creating a reflective and inspiring atmosphere for ESA members throughout the month.

4. Women Resource Project (WRP) II
On Thursday, March 5th, 2026, at 03.20 P.M., the Women Resource Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau held Women Resource Project (WRP) II in the NEO Decoration Room. This activity was conducted to assist the NEO Decoration Committee in preparing decorations and materials for NEO 2026.
Through collaboration and
teamwork, participants contributed to the decoration process to ensure that the
event venue was well-prepared and visually appealing. This activity also
supported the overall preparation for NEO 2026 while strengthening unity and
cooperation among members.
1. 5. Monitoring Internal
On Friday, March 6th, 2026, at 02.00 P.M., the
Membership Development Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau conducted Monitoring Internal toward the Secretary Division in Classroom D4. This
activity aimed to identify and understand the internal condition of the
division while serving as an evaluation process.
Through this monitoring, the Membership Development Division sought to provide the necessary support and assistance to strengthen the division’s sustainability and encourage its future development within the organization.

6. Badminton Fun Match
This activity aimed to strengthen friendship, build teamwork, and create a fun and healthy environment for students through sports. Through this event, participants were able to connect, compete in a friendly atmosphere, and share enjoyable moments together.

7. Takjil on the Road 2026
On Wednesday, March 11th, 2026,
at 04.00 P.M. until finished, the Social and Politics Division in collaboration
with the Islamic and Spiritual Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau held Takjil
on the Road 2026 under the theme “A Sip of Blessing, a
Million Acts of Kindness.” The activity took place in two
locations: in front of Arfa’unnas Mosque and at the FEB intersection.
Through the distribution of
takjil to people passing by, this activity aimed to share blessings and spread
kindness during the holy month of Ramadan. The event also reflected the spirit
of generosity, compassion, and social awareness while strengthening solidarity
and togetherness within the community.
1. 8. NGABERS and ESA Tadarus 2026
On Friday, March 13th, 2026, at 05.30 P.M. until finished, the Islamic and Spiritual Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau held Ngabers and ESA Tadarus 2026 at Kafie Kofie under the theme “From Fasting to Feasting Together in Blessings.”
The activity provided a meaningful opportunity for members to gather while waiting for iftar in a warm and friendly atmosphere. After breaking the fast together, the event continued with a tadarus session where participants recited and reflected on the Holy Qur’an, creating a spiritually uplifting moment while strengthening togetherness among members during the holy month of Ramadan.

On Monday, March 16th, 2026, ESA FKIP Universitas Riau through the Women Resource Division celebrated International Women’s Day by organizing the International Women’s Day Creating Video Contest under the theme “The Power of Being You.” The competition invited active female students of the English Education Program at Universitas Riau from the 2024 and 2025 batches to express their confidence, creativity, and uniqueness through short videos.
The registration period was held from March 1st to 7th, 2026, followed by video submissions from March 8th to 10th, 2026. Through this activity, participants were encouraged to develop their creativity, express their ideas confidently, and appreciate their personal growth. The winners of the competition were announced online on March 11th, 2026.

10. Women Study (WODY) II
On Tuesday, March 17th, 2026, at
02.00 P.M., the Women Resource Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau held Women
Study (WODY) II via Google Meet under the theme “Violence
Against Women: Awareness Among Women.” The session was delivered by
Rahmah Azzahra.
This activity aimed to raise
awareness about violence against women as a serious social issue while
increasing participants’ understanding of its forms, impacts, and prevention.
Through this discussion, participants were also encouraged to support one another
and contribute to creating a safer and more respectful environment in society.

11. Leaders Meeting III
On Wednesday, March 18th, 2026,
at 01.30 P.M., ESA FKIP Universitas Riau held Leaders Meeting III,
a monthly meeting organized by the core team as a discussion platform with
leaders from all divisions. The meeting was conducted online via Google Meet
and attended by the core team, Division Heads, and Division Secretaries.
During the meeting, each
division presented its program constraints, overall performance, the progress
of EGG within the division, and the targets to be completed before NEO 2026.
This discussion allowed the core team to provide feedback, guidance, and support
while strengthening coordination and alignment among divisions.
