May 2026 was a vibrant and productive month for ESA FKIP Universitas Riau under the Lunara Vistara Cabinet. Throughout the month, ESA successfully carried out various meaningful programs and activities, ranging from competitions, educational discussions, organizational evaluations, sports events, multimedia training, to self-development activities. Every activity reflected the enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication of ESA members in strengthening solidarity, improving skills, broadening perspectives, and creating a supportive and collaborative organizational environment. Through these programs, ESA continued to grow as an active, innovative, and empowering organization for all members. Let’s take a closer look at ESA’s remarkable journey throughout May 2026!

1. Day 5 of National English Olympiad (NE0) 2026

The Moments of  NEO 2026

On Friday, May 1st, 2026, the English Study Association (ESA) of FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held the closing ceremony of the National English Olympiad (NEO) 2026. As the fifth and final day of the event, the ceremony became a meaningful moment that marked the end of a remarkable journey filled with enthusiasm, creativity, and competition. The event was attended by participants, committees, and guests who shared the excitement and pride throughout the celebration.

The closing ceremony featured a memorable recap of NEO 2026 along with various inspiring performances that created a lively and emotional atmosphere. The event was officially concluded by the Coordinator of the English Study Program, Prof. Dr. Erni, S.Pd., M.Hum., symbolized by the striking of the gong, followed by the announcement of the winners. Through this event, NEO 2026 successfully became a valuable platform for students to develop their potential, express their talents, and continue striving beyond their limits.

2. ESA Gathering 2026

On Sunday, May 3rd, 2026, the Membership Development Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held ESA Gathering 2026 at the FKIP Football Field, Universitas Riau. Carrying the theme “Breaking the Ice, Building the Bond,” the activity began at 07.30 AM and was attended by ESA members with great enthusiasm and excitement.

The gathering aimed to strengthen relationships among participants through various interactive activities and enjoyable moments together. In addition, the event became a meaningful opportunity to build mutual understanding, enhance collaboration, and foster solidarity among members for the future development of the organization.

3. Monitoring Internal

The Moments of  Monitoring Internal

On Monday, May 4th, 2026, the Membership Development Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully conducted Monitoring Internal toward the Communication and Informatics Division. The activity was held at 03.30 PM in Room D8, FKIP Universitas Riau, as part of the organization’s effort to maintain effective coordination and development among divisions.

This activity aimed to identify and understand the internal condition of the Communication and Informatics Division while serving as an evaluation process for organizational improvement. Through this monitoring session, the Membership Development Division was able to provide support, feedback, and guidance to strengthen the division’s continuity and future development within ESA FKIP Universitas Riau.

4. ESA’s May Wall Magazine

On Wednesday, May 6th, 2026, at 02.00 PM, the Communication and Informatics Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully created ESA’s May Wall Magazine in front of the ESA Secretariat. Carrying the theme “Through the Woods, We Go,” this edition presented an informative and engaging concept designed to attract readers while delivering meaningful information for all ESA members.

The wall magazine featured various sections, including the Organizational Structure, the April Work Program Calendar, documentation of April activities, Hot News about education, Academic Information such as scholarship and competition updates, as well as National and International News. Completed with Editorial Greetings, this wall magazine aimed to provide useful information while highlighting important activities and achievements within ESA FKIP Universitas Riau.

5. Evaluasi EGG

The Moments of  Evaluasi EGG

On May 6th–8th, 2026, each division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully conducted the evaluation session of English Gold Generation (EGG) 2025 in different locations and schedules. The evaluations were organized by the Funding and Business Division, Membership Development Division, Secretary Division, Islamic and Spiritual Division, Interest and Talent Division, Social and Politics Division, Communication and Informatics Division, Women Resource Division, and Intellectual Development Division. The sessions were attended enthusiastically by EGG 2025 members as a forum for reflection and discussion regarding the implementation of the program activities.

The evaluation sessions also became a meaningful opportunity to appreciate the members’ enthusiasm, hard work, and dedication throughout the program. In addition, the discussions highlighted several aspects that could still be improved for future activities. Through this evaluation, it is hoped that all members will continue to expand their knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and actively contribute to the growth and development of each division within ESA FKIP Universitas Riau.

6. Women Activity (WOTY) I

The Moments of WOTI I

On Thursday, May 8th, 2026, at 04.20 PM, the Women Resource Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held Women Activity (WOTY) I: Macrame Bagcharm at Pentas Seni I FKIP Universitas Riau. The activity was attended enthusiastically by participants who were eager to explore their creativity through handmade crafts in a warm and enjoyable atmosphere.

During the activity, participants were divided into several groups and guided in creating their own macrame bag charms. Throughout the session, they shared ideas, collaborated, and supported one another during the creative process. Beyond learning handmade crafting skills, this activity also became a meaningful space to strengthen togetherness, collaboration, and self-expression among participants. Through Women Activity I, the Women Resource Division hopes to encourage creativity while creating memorable experiences filled with positivity and empowerment.

7. Creative Multimedia Trainee (CREATE) 2026

On Saturday, May 9th, 2026, the Communication and Informatics Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held Creative Multimedia Trainee (CREATE) 2026 with the theme “Exploring Creativity: A Journey Through the Digital Forest” at Room D4, FKIP Universitas Riau. The event began at 08.00 A.M. and was attended enthusiastically by participants who were eager to improve their multimedia and creative skills.

The event started with an opening ceremony followed by inspiring remarks from the Chairperson and invited representatives. CREATE 2026 featured three main sessions, namely Graphic Design using Canva, Journalism class on Press Release Writing, and Video Editing using CapCut. Each session was filled with hands-on practice, interactive discussions, and Q&A activities that kept the participants engaged throughout the event. Through this activity, participants gained valuable knowledge and experience while exploring their creativity in the digital era.

8. ESA’s Sports Competition (ESCOM) 2026

On Sunday, May 10th, 2026, the Interests and Talents Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held ESA’s Sports Competition (ESCOM) 2026 under the theme “Play with Heart, Win with Honor.” The event began at 08.00 AM and was attended enthusiastically by ESA members who participated in various exciting competitions and activities throughout the day.

This activity served as the official opening of ESCOM 2026, aiming to strengthen solidarity, teamwork, and sportsmanship among ESA members. Through the competitions and interactive activities, participants were encouraged to build stronger connections, develop their talents, and foster a positive competitive spirit in a supportive and enjoyable environment.

9. ESA’s Sports Competition (ESCOM) 2026: Volleyball

The Moments of ESCOM 2026: Volleyball

On Sunday, May 10th, 2026, the Interests and Talents Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held ESA’s Sports Competition (ESCOM) 2026: Volleyball Competition at the Volleyball Court of FKIP Universitas Riau. The competition began at 09.00 AM and was attended enthusiastically by participants who showcased their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the event.

The Volleyball Competition was conducted from the preliminary rounds until the final match, creating a lively and competitive atmosphere among participants. Supported by strong teamwork and enthusiastic cheers from fellow members, the activity successfully strengthened togetherness and built meaningful connections through shared experiences and positive competition.

10. ESA’s Sports Competition (ESCOM) 2026: Mobile Legends Competition

The Moments of ESCOM 2026: Mobile Legends Competition

On Sunday, May 10th, 2026, the Interests and Talents Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held ESA’s Sports Competition (ESCOM) 2026: Mobile Legends Competition at Warkop Greenhouse. Carrying the theme “Play with Heart, Win with Honor,” the competition began at 07.00 PM and featured enthusiastic participation from teams competing in the semifinal and grand final rounds.

The competition showcased exciting matches filled with strategy, teamwork, and determination as participants competed to achieve victory. Supported by the enthusiasm and encouragement from all participants, the event created a lively and competitive atmosphere. Through this activity, participants were able to strengthen teamwork, build togetherness, and create memorable experiences throughout the competition.

11. Sharing and Hearing DPK

The Moments of Sharing and Hearing DPK

On Monday, May 11th, 2026, the Membership Development Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held Sharing and Hearing DPK in Room D4, FKIP Universitas Riau, starting at 04.00 PM until finished. The activity was attended by ESA members who enthusiastically participated in the discussion and sharing session regarding the continuity and development of DPK.

This activity served as a meaningful space for discussion, evaluation, and sharing aspirations among members. Through the forum, participants were encouraged to express their opinions, strengthen communication, and build better collaboration within the organization. The event also reflected the importance of openness and teamwork in supporting the growth and improvement of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau.

12. ESA’s Sports Competition (ESCOM) 2026: Pro Evolution Soccer Competition

On Sunday, May 17th, 2026, the Interests and Talents Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held ESA’s Sports Competition (ESCOM) 2026: Pro Evolution Soccer Competition at Warkop Greenhouse. Carrying the theme “Play with Heart, Win with Honor,” the competition began at 03.00 PM and was attended enthusiastically by participants who showcased their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the event.

The competition created an exciting and lively atmosphere as participants competed with passion and determination. Through ESCOM 2026, the event became a platform for students to develop their interests and talents while strengthening solidarity and fostering a positive competitive spirit among ESA members.

13. ESA’s Sports Competition (ESCOM) 2026: Futsal Competition

On Saturday and Sunday, May 16th–17th, 2026, the Interests and Talents Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held ESA’s Sports Competition (ESCOM) 2026: Futsal Competition at Andi’s Futsal. Carrying the theme “Play with Heart, Win with Honor,” the competition began at 09.40 AM and was attended enthusiastically by participants who showcased their teamwork, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit throughout the matches.

The event was carried out successfully with a lively and exciting atmosphere created by both participants and supporters. Through ESCOM 2026: Futsal Competition, participants were encouraged to strengthen solidarity, build confidence, and develop their interests and talents in sports while creating meaningful experiences together.

14. Second Meeting of Essay Club 2026

The Moments of Second Meeting of Essay Club 2026

On Monday, May 18th, 2026, the second meeting of Essay Club 2026 was successfully conducted as a continuation of the Opening English Study Club (ESC) 2026. The activity was held in Room J2, FKIP Universitas Riau, starting at 04.00 PM until completion, and was attended enthusiastically by participants in an interactive and supportive learning atmosphere.

Through this meeting, participants were encouraged to improve their critical thinking, discussion, and academic writing skills while confidently expressing their ideas throughout the session. The activity also became a valuable opportunity for participants to develop their writing abilities collaboratively and strengthen their creativity and confidence in academic discussions.

15. Kajian Pengurus I

The Moments of Kajian Pengurus I

On Monday, May 18th, 2026, the Membership Development Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held Kajian Pengurus I in Room D6, FKIP Universitas Riau. The activity became a meaningful space for each division to openly share their experiences, challenges, and aspirations regarding organizational coordination and teamwork in a constructive and supportive atmosphere.

During the session, representatives from each division discussed various issues such as communication, coordination, responsibilities, and workload management within the organization. Despite the serious discussions, the activity encouraged openness, mutual understanding, and collaboration among members. Through Kajian Pengurus I, it is hoped that all divisions can continue to strengthen communication, improve teamwork, and build better solutions together for the future development of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau.

16. Sekre Bersih III

The Moments of Sekre Bersih III

On Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, the Secretary Division together with all divisions of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully carried out the “Sekre Bersih III” activity starting at 03.00 PM until completion. The activity was conducted as a form of collective responsibility in maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and positive atmosphere of the ESA Secretariat.

Through teamwork, cooperation, and togetherness, every member actively contributed to creating a more organized and comfortable environment for everyone. More than just a cleaning activity, “Sekre Bersih III” also became a meaningful moment to strengthen solidarity, improve communication, and foster unity among ESA members.

17. Mengelola dan Mendata Inventaris III

The Moments of Mengelola  dan Mendata Inventaris III

On Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, the Secretary Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully carried out the third session of “Mengelola dan Mendata Inventaris” at the ESA Secretariat Room, starting at 03.00 PM until completion. During the activity, members of the Secretary Division worked collaboratively in reviewing, documenting, and organizing the secretariat’s inventory to ensure accurate data collection and proper resource management.

This inventory management activity reflects the division’s commitment to maintaining organized administration and supporting ESA’s operational needs. By improving inventory documentation and resource readiness, this activity is expected to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of future ESA programs and activities within ESA FKIP Universitas Riau.

18. Kajian Islam

The Moments of Kajian Islam

On Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, the Islamic and Spiritual Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held Kajian Islam at 08.00 PM via Google Meet with the theme “Self-Worth in Islam: Between Gratitude and Humility.” The session was attended by participants who joined virtually in an engaging and reflective learning atmosphere.

The session was led by Diva Edel Wiesa, who discussed the importance of balancing self-value, gratitude to Allah, and humility in everyday life. The activity continued with an interactive Q&A session, allowing participants to explore the topic more deeply, and was closed with a meaningful du’a. This event became a valuable space for spiritual reflection and strengthening faith among ESA members.

19. First Meeting of storytelling Club

The Moments of First Meeting of Storytelling Club

On Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, the Intellectual Development Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held the first meeting of the Storytelling Club, one of the sections under English Study Club, at 08.00 PM until completion via Google Meet. The session provided an interactive learning space for participants to enhance their storytelling skills, communication abilities, and confidence in using English.

The meeting was conducted in a positive and enjoyable atmosphere, encouraging active participation and interaction among members throughout the session. This activity also served as a valuable opportunity to strengthen enthusiasm and interest in learning English through storytelling. This first meeting marked a great start for participants to develop their creativity and public speaking skills, and it is hoped that the Storytelling Club 2026 will continue to inspire members to improve their abilities and confidence in English communication.

20. Experience Exchange Program for Organizations (EXPO)

On Wednesday, May 20th, 2026, at 04.00 PM, the Communication and Informatics Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau, in collaboration with HIMA Prodi PENMAS FKIP UNRI, successfully held the Experience Exchange Program for Organizations (EXPO) at Room D6, FKIP Universitas Riau, under the theme “Cultivating Leadership through Cross Organizational Exchange.” The activity was attended enthusiastically by participants from both organizations in an engaging and collaborative atmosphere.

This program was conducted to strengthen communication, broaden organizational insight, and build strong collaborative relationships between student organizations through meaningful discussions and experience sharing. Participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas, learn about organizational management, and develop leadership skills by understanding different perspectives and working cultures. Through this activity, it is expected that students can enhance their professionalism, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability in organizational environments.

21. Women Study (WODY) III

On Wednesday, May 20th, 2026, at 03.30 PM, the Women Resource Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully conducted Women Study (WODY) III in Room D8, FKIP Universitas Riau, under the theme “Gender Equality: What Does It Really Mean?” This activity provided a meaningful platform for participants to explore and discuss the concept of gender equality in both social and educational contexts.

Throughout the session, participants engaged in discussions on the importance of equal rights, opportunities, and responsibilities regardless of gender. The discussion also highlighted common misconceptions about gender equality, ongoing societal challenges, and the role of young people in promoting fairness, respect, and inclusivity in everyday life. Women Study (WODY) III not only served as an educational discussion forum, but also encouraged participants to develop critical awareness, exchange perspectives, and strengthen their understanding of the importance of creating a more equal and supportive environment for everyone.

22. Communication Advancement Mission (CAM)

On Friday, May 22nd, 2026, from 02.00 PM to 04.00 PM, the Communication and Informatics Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held the Communication Advancement Mission (CAM) at TVRI Stasiun Riau under the theme “Creating Value through Talent Exchange and Institutional Cooperation.” The activity was conducted as a platform to strengthen communication, broaden participants’ perspectives, and encourage collaboration through the exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge between institutions.

Throughout the activity, participants gained valuable insights into the importance of professional communication, teamwork, and institutional cooperation in supporting personal and organizational development. The session also created a positive and interactive atmosphere that encouraged participants to develop their potential, build meaningful connections, and enhance their understanding of collaboration in both academic and professional environments.

23. Intellectual Competition (I-COM)

On Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, the Intellectual Development Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held Intellectual Competition (I-COM) at Rooms D4 and D6, FKIP Universitas Riau, starting at 08.00 AM under the theme “Bloom in Knowledge, Shine in Competition.” The event brought together participants in a series of intellectual challenges, including Storytelling, Debate, Speech, and Essay, highlighting both knowledge and communication skills in a competitive yet supportive atmosphere.

Throughout the competition, participants delivered outstanding performances ranging from engaging storytelling and persuasive speeches to critical debates and thought-provoking essays. The energy in both rooms remained lively and inspiring, as each participant showcased their best abilities. The event not only encouraged healthy competition but also fostered a spirit of learning, collaboration, and mutual appreciation among all participants, judges, and committees involved.

24. ESA’s Sports Competition (ESCOM) 2026: Badminton Competition

The Moments of ESCOM 2026: Badminton Competition

On Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, the Interests and Talents Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held ESA’s Sports Competition (ESCOM) 2026: Badminton Competition at Gor Badminton Nurush Shadri. The competition began at 08.00 AM and was attended enthusiastically by participants who demonstrated strong sportsmanship and competitive spirit throughout the event.

The activity ran in a lively and engaging atmosphere, with participants showcasing their skills and determination in each match. Beyond the competition itself, this event aimed to strengthen solidarity, develop sports talents, and create a healthy and positive environment among ESA members through meaningful and enjoyable interactions.

25. ESA’s Sports Competition (ESCOM) 2026: Basketball Competition and the Closing of ESCOM  2026

The Moments of ESCOM 2026: Basketball Competition and the Closing of ESCOM 2026

On Sunday, May 24th, 2026, the Interests and Talents Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held ESA’s Sports Competition (ESCOM) 2026: Basketball Competition along with the Closing Ceremony of ESCOM 2026 at the FKIP Football Field, Universitas Riau. The event began at 10.00 AM and carried the theme “Play with Heart, Win with Honor,” bringing together participants in an enthusiastic and competitive atmosphere.

The basketball competition was conducted smoothly until the end, with participants demonstrating strong sportsmanship, teamwork, and enthusiasm throughout the matches. Following the completion of the competition, the entire series of ESCOM 2026 was officially closed as a form of appreciation to all committees and participants who contributed to the success of the event.

26. Leadres Meeting V

The Moments of Leadres Meeting V

On Sunday, May 24th, 2026, the Leaders Meeting V was successfully held by the core team as a monthly discussion forum with leaders from all divisions. The meeting was attended by the core team, Division Heads, and Division Secretaries, and was conducted online via Google Meet at 08.00 PM WIB.

The discussion focused on several important aspects related to each division’s performance and development, including program constraints, overall division progress, and the implementation and performance of EGG within each division. During the meeting, each division was given the opportunity to share their current conditions, challenges, and achievements, allowing the core team to provide feedback, guidance, and support in order to strengthen coordination and improve organizational performance moving forward.

27. Rapat Umum

The Moments of Rapat Umum

On Monday, May 25th, 2026, the Rapat Umum was successfully held by the English Student Association (ESA) as a platform for discussion, coordination, and evaluation among all members of the organization. The meeting was attended by the core team and all ESA committees, and was conducted at Room D6, FKIP Universitas Riau, starting at 04.00 PM until finished.

The purpose of this meeting was to evaluate the progress and performance of each division, discuss important organizational matters, and prepare all members for the upcoming Sidang Pleno. Through this forum, every division had the opportunity to share their evaluations, challenges, and preparations, allowing the organization to strengthen coordination, improve teamwork, and enhance readiness for the plenary activities ahead.

28. Second Meeting of Storytelling Club

On Monday, May 25th, 2026, the Intellectual Development Division of ESA FKIP Universitas Riau successfully held the second meeting of the Storytelling Club, one of the sections under English Study Club, at Maps Cafe from 11.40 AM until completion. The session provided an interactive learning space for participants to enhance their storytelling skills, communication abilities, and confidence in using English.

The activity was conducted in a warm and engaging atmosphere, allowing participants to actively interact and communicate with one another throughout the session. It also served as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen enthusiasm and interest in learning English through storytelling activities. This second meeting marked another important step for participants to develop their creativity and public speaking skills, and it is hoped that the Storytelling Club will continue to inspire members to express their ideas more confidently in the future.
